The finished product!
This little chapbook really turned out to be a fulfilling collaborative project. It’s all based on this hilarious short audio drama that Morgan made several years ago (and on a true story, to boot, one that I think many of us can relate to).
From the original brainstorming session, I took inspiration from children’s fiction and had a blast creating all the digital drawings for the book. As you can see from that photo of my desk, I also relished the opportunity to play around with all kinds of materials salvaged from junk drawers and hidden stashes of craft supplies. Morgan’s voice comes to life in her tale and it was great fun to craft a physical product around it.
